Our call to Chile is to support the Church through church planting, training lay leaders, teaching, preaching and running youth groups.
Church planting in Valparaíso, the largest port city in Chile
Daniel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to missionary parents; he became a Christian at age 16 and received a mission call at the age of 19 during a university mission trip to Spain and Portugal. Ellelein, who is from Mexico, came from a nominal Catholic background and had an encounter with Jesus while doing her degree.
We first met while Daniel was working as a volunteer on a Christian social project in the slums in Mexico City. While he improved his Spanish and understanding of Latin American culture, Ellelein worked as a graphic designer and finished her degree in communications. We married in England in 1998. After several years, while Daniel worked in recruitment and placement for the mission organisation Latin Link and Ellelein worked in international investment banking, we packed our bags and went to Chile with South American Mission Society in 2005 with our nine month old boy, David. We served with the Anglican Church La Resurrección in Gómez Carreño.
