In April I had the immense pleasure and privilege of spending time with some of our people in mission in Lebanon. As refugees from Syria have poured into the country by the hundreds of thousands, our partners have been working to share the love of Jesus with them in word and in deed.
Rarely have I seen such courage and conviction in the face of such adversity. I left profoundly impressed and moved by what I had witnessed.
In our summer 2017 issue of The Call we share some of their stories, which we hope will provide fuel for prayer.
Across the world Church Mission Society people are working with the most vulnerable in society and I urge you to support them as they put their call into action. To give you an idea of what your gift can do:
- £20 could help contribute towards the living expenses of our people in mission
- £30 could help provide training and learning support for our partners
- £40 could help provide valuable mentoring and personal support to those working among refugees
Stories like the ones you can read in The Call are made possible through the generosity of our CMS family. And I hope and pray that as you read, the Spirit will inspire you in your own mission call, wherever that may lead you.
Thank you for being a vital part of God’s mission.
With my very best wishes, in Christ,
